The other day I made a butter-thyme sauce for gnocchi and was reminded that simple is usually the best. It was so GOOD! 🙂
Tonight, after work, I opened the fridge and stared for a few minutes. I hate throwing away food, but it happens a bit more than I’d like. Leftovers needed to be used! I found cooked chicken, chicken broth, fresh asparagus, and some shrimp in the freezer. In addition, I had some white wine and decided to make a simple sauce with butter, white wine, and chicken broth.
As this was an impromptu recipe, my shrimp was frozen and unpeeled…but, never fear. It’s not ideal, but I cooked the shrimp first. Once it cooled, I was able to peel with no problems.
