Skip the line and check out this homemade iced pumpkin spice latte with pumpkin puree and warm fall spices! Super simple to make and even better than Starbucks!
Every fall, I decide to go for it and buy a pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks. And, every year- I am disappointed! It’s either not as good as I remember or never as good as I think it will be. Maybe all of the hype just has me setting the bar way too high. Though one time, I ordered the pumpkin cream cold brew- now that was delish!
This year, I think I finally learned my lesson. Instead of wasting my time and money, I just decided to create my own. My iced pumpkin spice latte is super simple to make, never disappoints, and costs much less than $6!
Start by brewing some coffee. Next, combine the coffee with pumpkin puree, creamer, milk, and sweetener. Add a dash of pumpkin pie spice and blend together using a milk frother or blender. Finally, serve over ice. Or skip the ice and enjoy warm.
What is a PSL?
PSL stands for a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Since its inception in 2003, these fall lattes have become a Starbucks staple. The hallmark flavor includes notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. You can purchase pumpkin spice at local grocery stores or make your own.

Does Starbucks use real pumpkin in their lattes?
According to the website, Starbucks uses real pumpkin puree when making their pumpkin spice syrup. The mixture uses mostly sugar and is strained through a cheesecloth, so the final product likely has very little pumpkin. Their syrup recipes calls for sugar, water, cinnamon, ground cloves, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, and pumpkin puree.
