For an easy, wholesome, and fun appetizer- this healthy ham and cheese dip will have everyone asking, “what is that?” In a good way!
For the holidays, I was asked to bring broccoli. That’s right! Broccoli.
Pastry trained in Paris, but sure let’s have her bring the small green trees that smell horrible as they cook. Only kidding- I LOVE broccoli!
Actually, I was asked to bring a French broccoli dish. Unfortunately, those don’t really exist beyond maybe quiche or au gratin. I was happy there would be some healthy holiday options; so, a creamy, cheesy casserole just didn’t seem right. Then, I started to think about my beloved buffalo chicken dip. SO good. SO much flavor. Plus, my version uses lots of veggies and I love to eat it with sautéed broccoli.
But, my Mom doesn’t really like spicy things. Or too much pepper… So, I decided to create this healthier ham dip. Loaded with ham, peppers, carrots, and onions. Plus, some cream cheese and shredded cheese. Minimal ingredients- but, so much flavor!!!
This dip would go well with pretzels, crackers, tortilla chips, or a big plate of broccoli!
