These gluten free white chocolate cranberry cookies are soft-baked, chewy, and make the perfect holiday cookie!
Red and green may be the preferred holiday color palette, but green and baked goods do not always work so well together. Pistachios, green food coloring, and sprinkles are pretty much the heavy hitters. And, most holiday cookie trays are loaded with peanut butter blossoms, snickerdoodles, and gingerbread men. I mean…they are classic for a reason; but, this year- try something different that is still festive and fun!
A few years ago, I came up with Gluten Free White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies, which were pretty freakin’ delicious! This recipe is similar, but it’s more closely related to The BEST Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies. With the sweet combo of tart dried cranberries and white chocolate chips, these cookies are soft-baked, chewy, and oh-so delightful! The red and white creates a festive holiday pairing, nestled inside a buttery cookie.
For even more flavor- add a few dried cranberries and white chocolate chips to the top just before baking. No one will dare to ask- “what kind of cookies are these?!?”
When placed in a teacher faculty room, let’s just say they were GONE within 30 minutes and it wasn’t even lunch time yet! It’s safe to say- these festive cookies are a crowd pleaser!

Why Chill Cookie Dough?
- Chilling cookie dough gives the butter a chance to re-solidify.
- It keeps cookies from spreading too much as they bake.
- It allows the flavors to mix and mingle prior to baking.
Are cranberries a holiday fruit?
Most people would say…yes! Cranberries are very popular during the holiday season. Since they are in-season, you can find plenty of fresh ones available at the grocery store in November and December. They are also believed to have been eaten at the first Thanksgiving. Plus, those small, red berries are a great Christmas symbol. They can be used in a baked good, sauce, cocktail, or strung with popcorn and hung on a tree.
