But, of course, we need to celebrate the end of summer with a quintessential summertime favorite- BURGERS!
With pineapple, onion, garlic, Sriracha, and pepper jack cheese, these turkey burgers have the perfect combination of spicy and sweet! The grated onion keeps them moist and juicy! In addition, they are healthy, gluten free, and full of flavor!
Next time, I might even grill the pineapple…

Turkey Burgers with Pineapple Buns
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1/4 medium onion, grated
- 1 clove of garlic, grated
- 1-2 tsp. Sriracha (add more for a spicy crowd!)
- Salt and pepper
- 4-8 slices of pineapple
- 4 slices of pepper jack cheese
- Toppings- Lettuce, tomato, etc.
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the ground turkey, onion, garlic, Sriracha, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties. Grill each side for about 5 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Then, place each burger on top of a slice of pineapple. Add cheese and additional toppings. If desired, top with a second slice of pineapple.
