Sunday mornings are perfect for pajamas, coffee, messes in the kitchen, and cinnamon rolls!
Except, who wants to spend all that time in the kitchen preparing fresh dough?!?
And, this Sunday is even more special…it’s Mother’s Day!
Well, if you have refrigerated biscuit dough, then you can have fresh cinnamon rolls in less than 20 minutes!
So simple- the kids can be in charge! (minus the oven part)
20-25 minutes
Simple Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. refrigerated biscuit dough (look for one without hydrogenated oil)
- 1-2 Tbsp. butter (melt if desired)
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- GLAZE
- 1/3 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1-2 Tbsp. milk, cream, or water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Roll out each biscuit. Then, spread some butter over the surface. (You can melt the butter.) Next, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll into a tight log. Then, slice each log into 2 or 3 pieces. Stand each roll up on the end (so you can see the swirl) and use a plate to flatten. Place in a greased baking dish. Bake for 12-16 minutes, until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, whisk cinnamon, vanilla, powdered sugar, and a little water or milk. Drizzle over the cinnamon rolls while warm.
