Well…are you tired of leftover turkey yet???
Your family has gone home, the dishes are clean, you’ve shopped among the crazy crowds, and now the house is quiet. But, every time you open the fridge containers filled with Thanksgiving leftovers pop out screaming, “eat me!” Sure, there were only 4 people coming over, but the 18-pound turkey was such a good deal!
I have found that the key to eating leftovers without dread involves changing the flavors. Without even opening the fridge, I was very aware of the leftover biscuits sitting on my counter. While preparing breakfast, I found myself opening the bag and tearing off pieces. I frantically began to consider ways to use up these biscuits, hoping they would not disappear before my eggs had finished cooking. My mind quickly went to biscuits with sausage gravy. Well, I didn’t have any sausage, but I did have a surplus of turkey.
Another delicious way to enjoy some leftover turkey- yes, please! And, this gravy only takes 5 minutes to prepare!
This gravy could also liven up leftover mashed potatoes or you could make these Mashed Potato Waffles to replace the biscuits!
